It was with great delight that the staff of AMITY School Douala received the pronouncement of leisure trip conceived by the Director . A trip programmed for the 12th of March 2016 saw the inflow of the staff in their number adhering to departure time (9am) on that slated day.
This trip was aimed at purging out the stress derived from the first term and part of second term diligence at work.
The trip was designed to visit the South West Region precisely the Rich and Beautiful touristic sites of Limbe. The first stop was at Bakingili, which has the reminiscence of the last lava flow of Mt Fako’s eruption; From there, we moved over to the famous Limbe Wild Life Centre where we were thrilled with some acrobatic display of the apes found there. In the centre, there was a large colony of apes ranging from the smallest monkey to the largest gorilla, not forgetting chimpanzees and baboons.
Another touristic site that came beckoning was the Outstanding Limbe Botanic Garden. This garden attracts tourists from the world at large; we learn it is one of the German antiquities that cover over 45 hectares of land with varied endangered species of plants. The scenario was so amazing coupled with the lectures we received from one of the guards who had a mastery of the place. I would advice anybody who has the time to make it a rendezvous at that Botanic Garden.
Our last stop was at the Limbe down beach were we had a sumptuous refreshment as a family offered by our director
